My co-w0rker (Glenn) indicated that he had uploaded Janet Jackson's 'Design of a Decade' to his iTunes. We can listen to anyones music on the servers who has set their iTunes to allow for it. So I went right to it. I love(d) me some Janet. I don't know what this mess is she is coming out with now, but back in the day ~ you couldn't tell me I wasn't gonna be Janet Jackson. My first cut of choice was "Pleasure Principle" followed by 'Alright'. Talk about two songs that made you wanna move! And I loved the videos. Would have tried PP if I wasn't so fearful (couldn't see pulling off the chair stunt the way she did). And 'Alright w/the Cab Calloway flair? Classic!

The next track, had to be one of the two me and some homies performed in the school talent show. In a group, we did 'What Have You Done For Me Lately' which was a riot! But to top things off, I tried my once in a lifetime solo singing stint and performed 'Let's Wait Awhile'. At the time, it didn't cross my mind that my deep alto voice MAY be to deep to reach the heights of Janet's. LOL I was sooooooooo nervous. And not sure what possessed me to want to do it. But I pulled it off, and apparently it was well received (no I didn't win *sniff*)

Ah... memories...
